The parish of Leigh (which includes the villages of Leigh and Leigh Sinton) has had a Parish Council since they were first established nationally, in 1894. However, Leigh & Bransford Parish Council was only formed in 1971, to serve both Leigh and the adjoining civil parish of Bransford. The parish comes within the administrative area of the Malvern Hills District Council and the Worcestershire County Council.
It has 11 members, 3 from Bransford and 8 from Leigh. Membership elections are held every 4 years, the most recent one having been in 2007. As is usual, all parish council members are unpaid, but a professional clerk is employed.
Meetings, which are open to the public, are every two months, starting in January.
Held in the Memorial Hall, they are on the
4th Tuesday of the month, at 7.30 p.m..
