 PARISH COUNCIL ACTIVITIES
As the first tier of government, the Parish Council has a wide range of duties & activities. For example, it sees and comments on all local planning applications submitted to the Malvern Hills District Council, although its views are advisory only - the District Council has no statutory obligation to heed them.  A Planning Committee is responsible for overseeing these activities.

The provision of affordable housing is another of the Parish Council’s concerns, and is conducts housing surveys to assess to parish’s needs.

The fact that the A4103 runs through the parish means that there are always concerns about traffic. The parish council  liaises with the highway authorities and the police to try and improve traffic conditions - resulting, for example, in traffic calming measures and a speed camera in Leigh Sinton.
The Parish Council obtained a grant from the Countryside Agency in 2003 to enable it to draw up a Parish Plan,  setting out the parish’s views on its future.
This Plan was approved and published in March 2005. More details can be found on the Parish Plan page.

The parish has an extensive network of footpaths, and a Parish Footpaths Officer together with a Footpaths Committee is responsible for maintaining them, funded by the County Council.

In conjunction with the County Council it has published a booklet of 7 circular walks. You may view details and  send for a copy.
