PARISH COUNCIL ACTIVITIES (continued)
In 2000 the Government published its White Paper on “Our countryside: the future” which encouraged rural communities to set out how they would like to see their area develop. The Parish Council obtained a grant from the Countryside Agency in 2003 to enable it to draw up a Parish Plan,  setting out the parish’s views on its future.
This Plan was approved and published in March 2005. More details can be found on the Parish Plan page.

The parish has an extensive network of footpaths, and a Parish Footpaths Officer together with a Footpaths Committee is responsible for maintaining them, funded by
the County Council. In conjunction with the County Council it has published a booklet of 7 circular walks. You may view details and  send for a copy.
